Vivaan Shah to debut in Bollywood with Saat Khoon Maaf

Vivaan Shah to debut in Bollywood with Saat Khoon Maaf
Vivaan Shah is the son of Naseeruddin Shah and is getting an unique opportunity with his debut movie in Bollywood - to act opposite babe Priyanka Chopra. Yes, Saat Khoon Maaf marks the debut of Vivaan into the Indian cinema and he will be seen opposite Prinks in the movie. Surprisingly, neither the trailer of the movie nor the bytes reveal Vivaan's name in the movie.

The trailer of Saat Khoon Maaf clearly shows the name of six husbands of Susanna - Neil Nitin Mukesh (Major Rodriques), John Abraham (Jimmy), Irrfan Khan (Wasiullah), Aleksandr Dyachenko (Vronsky), Annu Kapoor (Keemat Lal) and Naseeruddin Shah (Tarafdar) but Vivaan's movie name is being kept a secret and would be revealed in the movie only. It should be a part of the marketing strategy to promote Vivaan. Naseeruddin Shah will also be seen in the movie in a love-bite scene with Priyanka. It's also said that there is a se* scene as well in the movie, who knows Vivaan gets the golden chance to be projected opposite Priyanka.

Vivaan plays the role of the youngest husband of Priyanka while Naseeruddin plays the role of the oldest husband of hers. The movie has been shot in Coorg (Kashmir) and probably it's the first time that fater-son duo are becoming husbands of a girl onscreen. Vivaan is the youngest son of Naseeruddin Shah and had no plans to pursue a career in acting but when director Vishal Bhardwaj saw him, he convinced Vivaan to play Priyanka's husband role in Saat Khoon Maaf. Still, Vivaan has no plans to do any other movie after Saat Khoon Maaf but it's speculated that he has an offer from director Vishal Bhardwaj to play a lead role in his upcoming movie Dreams for which Saif Ali Khan was approached first but Vishal thinks Vivaan is a better option than Saifu.

Vivaan Shah plays the role of sutradhar (one who narrates the story) in Saat Khoon Maaf and will be seen with Deepika Padukone & Priyanka Chopra again in Dreams. It's said that he has signed a three movie deal with director Vishal Bhardwaj now who is fond of Vivaan's acting talent now.

Her presence in any movie was such that other actresses didn't want to work with her as they had the fear of Madhuri overshadowing them. Like, when Yash Chopra was looking for a supporting actress in Dil To Pagal Hai, he approached Juhi Chawla but she refused to work in the movie citing the reason that Madhuri Dixit will overshadow her performance in the movie but Karisma Kapoor took the challenge and fortunately received the Best Supporting Actress Award for the movie.

The story of the debut of Amitabh Bachchan in the Indian cinema

The story of the debut of Amitabh Bachchan in the Indian cinemaAmitabh Bachchan is a legend today who doesn't need any introduction. Whether it's being in the Madame Tussad's Was Museum or a host for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Big B is the person who comes to the mind of everyone whenever someone talks of Bollywood. Ironically, Big B never uses the word Bollywood, he is more comfortable with using the phrase Indian cinema. His stature is such that the people who were his colleagues or started their respective careers alongwith him are no where today - and he is talk of the town everyday.

But there was a time when even he strived hard (VERY HARD indeed) to get a debut into the Indian cinema. Amitabh gave up his job to come to Bombay and join the Indian cinema. It's said that Manoj Kumar was the most celebrated actor at the time when Amitabh was seeking an entry into the Bollywood. Amitabh would wait for hours at benches outside the studios to meet various producers & directors but Manoj was not willing to work with Amitabh seeing his stature and height. But Amitabh never gave this weakness a thought and kept trying - soon he got an offer for Saat Hindustani for which he got a National Film Award for the Best Newcomer.

After Saat Hindustani, his acting in Anand, Parwaana, Reshma Aur Shera, Guddi, Bawarchi and Bombay To Goa went unnoticed, though he made his appearance felt. Then came Zanjeer in 1973 in which Amitabh played the lead role and which propelled him to Bollywood stardom. Zanjeer was previously being offered to Rajkumar but he denied doing it and the movie went to Big B.

Since then, Amitabh Bachchan has starred in hundreds of movies, sung many songs and hosted many TV shows to become a legend. There was a time when his movies started failing on box office but he came again and his acting skills are admired even today and crores of his fans like to follow his footsteps.

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai - The debuts that lead to a STAR WAR

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai - The debuts that lead to a STAR WARKaho Na Pyaar Hai is remembered by people for its unbeatable music, nice international locations and all the masala for making a movie superhit. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai is also remembered for two debuts as well - Rakesh Roshan's son Hrithik Roshan entered Bollywood with this movie and Economics graduate Amisha Patel also got a Ticket To Bollywood with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. The movie was a super duper hit and both of the lead actors got many offers & awards after the movie.

Hrithik won Best Actor & Best Debut Filmfare awards for his highly acclaimed performance but surprisingly Amisha Patel could not fetch any awards with this movie but both of them entered super stardom overnight with this movie. Apart from these two Kaho Na Pyaar Hai won many other awards as well including Best Movie, Best Director, Best Choreography, Best Music Director, Best Playback, Best Male Singer and Best Screenplay.

A story of a STAR WAR (CAT FIGHT would be more appropriate) is also associated with the success of this movie. When Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan was in search for an actress for the movie to launch his son in the Bollywood, they approached Kareena Kapoor who, at that time, was also looking for options to get into the Indian cinema. Another offer Bebo had was of Refugee - opposite Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek Bachchan. Amisha is the daughter of Rakesh Roshan's schoolmate whom they had made this offer and she agreed upon.

Looking at these two options, Kareena chose Abhishek's movie Refugee probably thinking that Big B's son would be able to fetch him more fans than Rakesh Roshan's. But when both of the movies released - Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai got overnight success and Refugee failed on the box office. Since then, Kareena Kapoor and Amisha Patel are not good friends and have never been spotted together but Hrithik and Kareena have done many movies together.

While Amisha Patel & Hrithik Roshan's entry into Bollywood can certainly be regarded as debuts of that year but the movie was obviously a career shift for Amisha Patel who is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She also appeared in many commercials on Indian television as well.

Meet Sakshi Khanna - Son of Vinod Khanna all set to debut in Bollywood

Meet Sakshi Khanna - Son of Vinod Khanna all set to debut in BollywoodSakshi Khanna is a teenage son of Vinod Khanna who learnt acting skills from the Roshan Taneja's acting school and is now craving for an entry into the Bollywood. He first got an admission into the New York University's undergraduate program to learn direction skills for movies and television & studied for around a semester. But, since he started feeling home sick he got back to India and took admission in Roshan Taneja's acting school.

Sakshi says that he wanted to be an actor from the age of 8. He recalls that back then he was in 4th standard and got the role of Bharat in a Ramayan play. He was tensed as it was the first time in his life that he was going to face the audience. His brothers Akshaye and Rahul helped him & were very supportive. With their support Sakshi's performance in the play was very much appreciated and from that day he has aspired to become an actor in Bollywood. Sakshi says, "I saw Akshaye bhaiya in Gandhi My Father and I really like playing roles like that."

He also loves watching his father in roles like Mera Gaon Mera Desh & Amar Akbar Anthony who is also his role model and is glad that his family completely supports him to make an entry into the Bollywood.

Sakshi Khanna is third son of Vinod Khanna whom he had with Kavita. Vinod also has a daughter named Shraddha with Kavita. He was earlier married to Geetanjali with whom he had two sons - Akshaye Khanna and Rahul Khanna - but their marriage ended in divorce after he chose to spend time at Rajneeshpuram. Vinod Khanna had earlier helped his son Akshaye to make a debut in Bollywood with the movie Himalaya Putra in the year 1997 and it's quite sure that Vinod Khanna is going to produce another movie for Sakshi Khanna.

Sakshi's brother Akshaye & Rahul are Bollywood actors and have been seen in Tees Maar Khan & Wake Up Sid movies respectively. Rahul got into Bollywood with Earth in the year 1999 and won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for the movie. Let's see how much acting talent has Sakshi Khanna has got and what kind of a Bollywood movie he gets into to be launched in Bollywood.

Sonakshi Sinha - Debutante Of The Year 2010

Sonakshi Sinha - Debutante Of The Year 2010If you were to search for the Debutante Of The Year 2010, there would be only one name on your lips seeing the success of Dabangg - Sonakshi Sinha. The beautiful daughter of Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha entered the world of limelight & glamour with the home production company of Arbaaz Khan & family starring opposite Salman Khan. Dabangg was released on the day of Eid in India and measured huge success. As a masala film Dabangg had everything - item song, glamour, action & dialogues.

Though, Sonakshi being a family girl didn't make a glamourous entry, the item song Munni Badnaam Hui went into the hands of Malaika Arora but her dialogue 'Thappad Se Dar Nahin Lagta Sahab, Pyaar Se Lagta Hai' (I'm not afraid of being slapped sir, love is more painful) made her more famous just like 'Khamosh' (Silent) for her father Shatrughan Sinha. Sonakshi appeared in an almost backless blouse in one of the song sequences and avoid exposure in the masala film.

Sonakshi Sinha appeared in songs such as 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Mere Dil Ka Le Gaye Chain' & 'Chori Kiya Re Jiya, Mere Piya' and left her presence noticed though many people have questioned her acting skills. Dabangg's (and Sonakshi Sinha's) success could well be conveyed from the very fact that the movie is being shown for two times in a span of 2 months on the Colors TV channel in India on which Salman Khan is hosting the Bigg Boss show.

It's said that Sonakshi Sinha had quite weight when Arbaaz Khan saw her while he was preparing a base for the film. At that time Arbaaz had told Salman that Shatrughan Sinha's daughter is going to be the Rajo of Dabangg. And the Sinha family also didn't mind making their daughter doing a debut in Bollywood since Dabangg was a family production and Arbaaz approached with his family.

Dabangg gave Sonakshi Sinha a platform and since then she has been featured on magazine covers, ramp shows, photoshoots and national television programs. Sonakshi recently got on the covers of the Maxim magazine. She has got offers for Dabangg 2 (sequel), Joker and Race 2. In every sense Sonakshi Sinha can well be regarded as the Bollywood Debutante Of The Year 2010.
